Swiss Valley Volunteer Ski Patrol
Swiss Valley Ski Patrol is comprised of dedicated volunteers and is an active member of the National Ski Patrol’s central division. All training and certifications are conducted through the National Ski Patrol organization. Swiss Valley Ski Patrol is a member of the central division and is a not-for-profit organization recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3).

Interested in becoming a Swiss Valley Patroller? Swiss Valley is a volunteer patrol. Prerequisites of becoming a patroller include a strong desire to help others, provide emergency care, promote ski safety, and a willingness to work hard. Candidates are required to pass the Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) course, a Professional CPR w/AED certification, a ski/snowboard proficiency test and pay annual dues.

The National Ski Patrol
Founded in 1938, the National Ski Patrol (NSP) and its membership have been responsible for providing winter emergency care, rescue, and safety education to the skiing public for over 70 years.
The National Ski Patrol is a federally-chartered 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership association. As the leading authority of on-mountain safety, the NSP is dedicated to serving the outdoor recreation industry by providing education and accreditation to emergency care and safety service providers.
With a primary focus on education and training, the organization includes over 31,000 members serving 650 patrols in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. Our members work on behalf of local ski/snowboard areas and bike parks to improve the overall experience for outdoor recreationalists.
The organization is made up of 10 geographic divisions and one professional division. Members include ski and bike patrollers, mountain and bike hosts, alumni, associates, and physician partners.
